Vintage Champion Philadelphia "Dad Vail Regatta" T-Shirt Headwear DC the Bad Brains gaveDad Vail Regatta began way back in 1934. Named for rowing coach Harry Emerson "Dad" Vail, the race still continues to this day. The organization was formalized in 1939 by Rusty Callow and Lev Brett and focused on bringing together university crew teams to Philadelphia for the regatta.
