Polished Desert Sunset slab DS179 rare agate 290 mm x 150 mmDS179 Desert Sunset slab, polished on one side. Dimensions at widest points approximately 175 mm x 75 mm x 9 mm thick. Weighs 286 grams. Desert Sunset is a banded iron formation that is comprised of alternating layers of red and yellow jasper and chert with narrow bands of black hematite. It comes from near Fields Find, a small abandoned gold mining centre in the Midwest region of Western Australia.
