An Air Force Aircrew Badge, Ii Class For A Military Air Dispatcher, C.1935 GTRexclude iron core (magnetic) unmarkedSilvered bronze, unmarked, 24. 8 mm x 79. 3 mm, horizontal pinback, scattered silvering wear, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Latvian aircrew trained in Poland, the badge issued in three grades: gold (gilt), silver and bronze. This particular badge was for a Military Air Dispatcher, who retrieved messenger tubes from a plane or balloon, as evidenced by the tube in the eagle's beak.
