The band had formed in 1965 and had changed substantially since those early days as a psych rockers. David Gilmour joined the band as guitarist Syd Barrett was leaving and they shifted more towards a progressive rock sound. And so in the early 70s, after releasing seven fairly successful albums, the group came out with Dark Side Of The Moon. It was a concept record partially inspired by Barrett that
