Footnote: Josef Rugel served with various Panzer units, the last being the 7th Company of Panzer Regiment 3 of the 2nd Panzer Division. Served as a radioman of Panzer IIIs and IVs. Earned the Tank Assault Badge in Silver for his actions at Kursk Orel. Killed in action on 12th November 1943 in Russia.
