Germany, Wehrmacht. A Demjansk Shield certificate_of_authenticity silver with a gilt star(rmelschild Demjansk). Constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a propeller plane overlaid by a pair of crossed swords, situated above a date of 1942, and topped by an inscription of DEMJANSK with two log pillboxes flanking a German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 51. 95 mm (w) x 92. 08 mm (h), demonstrating the loss of all original attachment prongs, with three
