Germany, Third Reich. An Air Defence Honour Decoration, II Class Medal, with Case Newly Listed 1942 as SS-Oberführer and commander(Luftschutz Ehrenzeichen, II. Klasse). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938 1945 issue). Constructed of aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double sided circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ (FOR MERIT IN AIR DEFENCE), the reverse bearing a central raised institution date
