An 1813-14 Army Cross Archive He began his service in(Armeekreuz 1813 14) Constructed of bronze, on ribbed loop for suspension,consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms and a laurel leaf through the quadrants, the obverse with an inscription of GRATI PRINCEPS ET PATRIA FRANC. IMP. AUG (A GRATEFUL PRINCE AND COUNTRY, FRANCIS, EMPEROR), the reverse with an inscription of EUROPAE LIBERTATE ASSERTA (EUROPES LIBERTY ASSERTED) with dates 1813 1814 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 27. 03 mm (w) x 30.
