Constructed of a nickel plated bronze alloy, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, within a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of BLUT UND EHRE (BLOOD AND HONOUR), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, maker marked with the logo of F. W. Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, along with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code 17 for the same maker, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h),
