A Croix De Guerre,1914-1918 With Multiple Awards Auction Archive four eyelets (two on eitherSilvered bronze (AKA "Florentine Bronze"), unmarked, "1914 1918" reverse, 37. 5 mm (w) x 46. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, two silver palm branches, one bronze star and three silver stars on its original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: Just prior to 1970, many French bronze awards and badges were issued with a bright gilt (silvered) finish known as "Florentine Bronze".
