Austria, Imperial. A Bravery Medal, Gold Grade, By Heinrich Kautsch, C.1917 Buy Now no maker markings(Tapferkeitsmedaille). Instituted 17 July 1789 by Joseph II. (1917 1922 issue). In gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri fold ribbon with dual award clasps, the obverse consisting of a rightward facing profile of Karl I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of FORTITUDINI (BRAVERY) within a laurel wreath and above crossed standards, the obverse marked KAUTSCH for maker Heinrich Kautsch,
