United States. A Cased Navy Cross Hold a 1939 National Socialist War(Instituted February 4th, 1919). Constructed of bronze, suspended from a fixed ball suspension and round swivel ring for suspension from its ribbon featuring a horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Patte with rounded arms and laurels in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a round central medallion featuring a sailing vessel on waves, sailing to the left, the reverse with a similar central medallion with crossed anchors
