Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a central white enameled oval disc overlaid by a German Red Cross (DRK) insignia, situated within a black enameled ring bearing a silvered inscription of DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ SCHWESTERNSCHAFT, the reverse with a rounded catch and replacement pinback, bearing a membership number of 257 and district attribution of
