A First War Brunswick Medal Group Hold enamel chipping at the tipPrussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver frame, iron core, magnetic, maker marked "EW" on the ring, 43 mm); Brunswick: War Merit Cross 2nd Class (bronze gilt, 30. 2 mm); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (bronze gilt on iron, maker marked "O. 5" on the reverse, 37. 5 mm). Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, lightly soiled original ribbons, gilt loss on the Brunswick medal, near extremely fine.
