Accompanied by its kraft paper packet of issue, printed in black ink "Berwundeten Abzeichen Schwarz" (Wound Badge Black) on the front, maker marked in black ink "Hermann Wernstein Jena Lobstedt." on the back, 58 mm x 105 mm, exhibiting tears along the seam and across the front, crinkled, packet fair.
